Junior Account Executive
Brooke Gardner serves as a Junior Account Executive for Mac Strategies Group, supporting the firm's strategic communications and public affairs practice from our Springfield office. She plays a valuable role in assisting account teams with legislative monitoring, research, media relations activities, as well as drafting messaging and marketing materials critical to executing client communication programs.
Brooke refined her skills in policy-related public relations as the Communications Dunn Fellow for the Office of the Governor in Illinois. The Dunn Fellowship is a nonpartisan year-long governmental honors program that gives recent college graduates the opportunity to experience and gain first-hand knowledge of Illinois state governmental operations at the executive level. During the fellowship her responsibilities included writing and copyediting external communications, monitoring legislation, and building effective relationships with the media while advising them on events. Following the fellowship program, Brooke completed an internship with the Lord Mayor of Dublin and Ireland political party Fianna Fáil, where she managed constituent communications during the 2019 by-elections.
Brooke Gardner graduated with honors from Bradley University with a degree in public relations and a minor in marketing. While a student at Bradley, she held campus leadership positions and served in volunteer roles with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
