Objective:

Implement a campaign to help bolster a coalition and raise awareness while generating momentum for lawmakers to support a wide variety healthcare access and affordability issues.

Results:

Our team worked closely with the pharmacy community in Illinois to generate millions of dollars in savings for the state without harming healthcare providers or access to critical pharmacy.

Services. In 2011, after working to build a network of coalition support in Illinois, our team worked hand in hand with the General Assembly, Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR) and the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, our team helped PCAN reach success in helping to reduce the cost of pharmacy services to the Medicaid program by 6% through switching patients to smart, low-cost generic medications. Our team has also successfully promoted a high-profile vaccination effort by local pharmacies that led to legislation signed into law by Governor Quinn. The four coalition co-chairs have been routinely quoted by the media and featured in opinion-editorial pieces around the state.
