Objective:

Devise and implement a public relations and public affairs strategy generating support for a federal solution to online sales tax fairness (E-Fairness) to level the playing field between large online retailers and brick-and-mortar stores.

Results:

Mac Strategies Group generated comprehensive editorial board support, earned media and grasstops support leading to the successful passage of Illinois’ e-fairness law. Our efforts continued targeting media across the state and important federal representatives culminating in several members of Congress supporting the federal E-Fairness legislation. The U.S. Senate ultimately passed the legislation and the United States House of Representatives is now deliberating similar action.
